Government Palace
The Palacio de La Moneda, commonly known as La Moneda, is the seat of the President of Chile. It also houses the General Secretariat of the Presidency and the General Secretariat of Government. North of the palace is Plaza de la Constitución, and to the south, Plaza de la Ciudadanía.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Santiago is the seat of the Archdiocese of Santiago and the main Catholic church in Chile. Located in Plaza de Armas, the cathedral complex includes the Archbishop's Palace, the Parish of El Sagrario, and the temple itself, all designated national monuments.
